Steak - Brazialian Style

After a long and stressful couple of years, Caz’s lady friend, Lucy , finally landed on these shores from Brazil. To welcome Lucy and her friend, Viv into the posse we did our usually Monday night steak at the Captain Cook, but in Brazilian style.

The flags looked great apart from Tanya’s red wine stain and I don’t think anyone really noticed it too much.

Seeing as we all had the next day off work we went on to The Cricketers and then to Bar Cleveland. The latter bar was full of Dragon Boat Racers who had just won the National Championship and were proudly showing off their medals and trophy.

Somehow, the next day, Beachy woke up to find the trophy at the end of his bed. What were you thinking mate? On a better note though, we have called the Dragon Boat team and have arranged to return the cup on Monday night.

Ye Olde Campin Trip

Had a relaxed, but great weekend, camping down in Jervis Bay with Caz, George and Lou. Myself and George left a day after the other two but apparently all we missed on the Friday night was Lou getting pissed and throwing anything she could find on the camp fire.

When we got down there, the four of us went into town and found a pikie fair. The only thing we bought from the place was a whiskey glass. Caz’s knowledge of bees is a lot better for it though and he now knows how to reproduce them if ever he needs to….

After picking up our supplies of ice and Jemesons it was back to site to cook up some grub.
To try and stop George from complaining about how we had no music we had to shut him up by singing for 3 hours. Such classics as True, Another day in Paradise, Walking on the Moon and Horse with no Name, to name but a few.
Bed time was a bit weird, having to share a tent with Caz, but neither of us had seen Brokeback Mountain, so all ended well.

The Sunday after breakfast, I started fishing, which hadn’t a good track record so far. About 5 outings and not one fish. Nothing to do with having Caz as a teacher even though I have never seen him catch one either for all the tips he gives. I don’t know if it was words of encouragement when Caz told me “You’ll never catch a fish in there Deco!” and the best bit, “ I bet you a steak, you won’t catch anything.”
Less than an hour later and a girlie scream out of me, what’s on the end of my hook, only my first ever fish. George had to unhook it, then tried to get me to kiss it (to no avail) and back in the water it went, to complain to it’s mates about havin’ a sore lip, and a nervous disposition after the four or us fussing around it…

Caz was so happy for me. He was actually that happy that he tried a bit of the fishing thing himself. It must have been the way he was casting in or something but he caught nothing.
Two more fish later and I was bushed. It’s easy once you know how…

That night George had the sense to move the car closer to the tents to sort out our music dilemma, and to save our ears on another sing along performance. All in all, a great weekend but the free steak I got off Caz on Monday night topped it all off.. Maybe I should have ordered the fish.

Radio Deco (Eyedentity)

I've just created a new Radio Station for all you lucky people. I'll try to change the play list more often than I update my blog.
